    Film Developing in the UK

Going to have a root thru the recommendations here as it's been a while sinc since I got a dev and scan and wanted to see what else is out there. I contacted a company to check if they could cater for a 35mm colour film pushed from 200 to 800, one said they couldn't cater for that as they could...

DSLR,s seem to be holding their value...

@LongLensPhotography i see. i dont really do video so prob why its not really been on my radar. i think slightly better on low light is prob not enough justficition for me to switch atm. damn these IV keeping their value haha

DSLR,s seem to be holding their value...

@LongLensPhotography I assume by that you mean the III is very much better than the II? AF isn't a particular thing I look for, its the low light stuff in particular and i can't find much good info comparing the two. I have no idea what Magic Latern is so any benefit of that is lost on me the...

DSLR,s seem to be holding their value...

@LongLensPhotography i am stacked with CF cards so would want to stay with CF compatible really. Maybe i will cough up for a IV eventually, but it def wouldnt be as soon as i possibly could do a III - just not sure the low light performance is worth the switch, compared to the II. ho hum...

DSLR,s seem to be holding their value...

oh dear, didn't mean this to turn into questioning MPB. I've never bought from them, though i think visually i wouldn't mind if the camera was scuffed etc in places, as some of the 'heavily used' ones seem to be, but that seems to also incorporate high shutter counts as well. I'd rather buy from...

DSLR,s seem to be holding their value...

@toohuge thanks for the advice. i think more so than weight, the size is a factor to rule it out for me, aside from it probably being too big for me to hold comfortably in one hand (i'm a small woman) when walking, and the weight for shooting angled upwards at gigs, i don't think it would fit in...

    Upgrade advice.

What would you say are the main big jumps from 5DII to III? I'm trying to consider if this is a worth while jump up, having used the II for around 10 years but looking for some good improvement in low light for gig shots, and same as OP, bring up shadows in PP with less noise

DSLR,s seem to be holding their value...

Was going to make my own thread, but this seems slightly on topic for my query.... i bought a 5DII roughly 10 years ago and didn't expect to upgrade body in that time and instead spend on a couple of lenses as they seemed a better investment. When it's not the pandemic, I do some gig photography...

    lens profiles in Lightroom 6

thanks @ancient_mariner - i'll take a look @droj - don't worry, won't get too obsessive (rare for me lol) - it's just a nice to have at the click of a button - seeing as I assume whoever created the profile knows a bit more than me ;-) - was just surprised to not see it there thank you both!

    lens profiles in Lightroom 6

HI I have stand alone LR6 (& therefore no more updates) and it doesn't seem to recognise the lens I rented for my recent trip to Iceland - Sigma 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM - I'm really surprised, it seems to have so many profiles, but not this! I've had a google but i can't find any sort of...

    Sparrowhawk in the garden

Was really lucky shot with my compact with long zoom nearby for when I noticed this (female?) sparrowhawk last year i my garden - (& that I had cleaned the inside glass of patio door recently ;) ) (a working from home bonus!) My neighbour had told me there was one in the area occasionally and...
