I did not know they operated out of the UK. On searching Google right after opening the package I found that grey imports often have the wrong cable which is what freaked me out and made me send the serials and description of the package content to Canon for them to check, but that seems fine.

I do, the one that came with the IXUS 230HS I got three years ago. I don't know if there is any relevant difference between the cords in the long term. I'm just p***ed that I have to keep the camera packed in the mean time and might have to wait until they deliver a new one, just for this tiny...

I'm in the UK. I just got a Canon EOS 6D from Currys. It has a two pin power cable instead of a UK cable. I contacted Canon support specifying the camera serial and details of the content of my package; they say Currys is an official retailer and that I'm covered by the official Canon warranty...
