It looks like it's a toss up between the 100-400 MkII and the 300 f2.8! I'm leaning towards the 100-400... As is my wallet! I hope you get to go to an airshow soon :)

Cheers Mike. Definitely food for thought. I have a 100-400 MkII is half the price of the 300mm f2.8 as well! That may be a more sensible option, especially considering the unpredictability of UK weather...

I've just picked up my second 60D. I got it from RichmondCameras for £300. Great price... Worth checking eBay for low shutter count models. As always, I will always recommend the nifty fifty for the bag to compliment it :D

Love this set! Did you have any trouble setting exposure?

I like the set, although I feel that shots 2 and 3 would benefit hugely from a lower shutter speed to give a better sense of speed.

Interesting white balance! Top half reminds me of butterfly wings.
