    RAF at Southend Airport

Thanks. Most tri-jets look great. This one had a first flight in July 1983 and was one of the last ones ever built. The second jet operated by them (which will also be based at Southend soon) was *the* final one off the production line.

    RAF at Southend Airport

In the air they were all at 1/250th, my panning isn’t what it used to be. The ground shot of the Lancaster was 1/160th but the props turn so slowly on low power settings, I probably needed to go much slower but I don’t trust myself not to screw it up. I don’t get to see the Lanc on the ground...

    Beginner Selection of cars

Not my usual subject matter but I've been asked to photograph a few cars for friends and family recently so here's a selection. Some were for sale auctions, some for fun and one is just a grab in a car park.

    Civvy Aircraft Assortment

Thanks for the comments. Yeah, I prefer the cargo stuff tbh, they tend to be older and more interesting aircraft types and they come in during the evening when the sunlight is at its best. These are all from spotting locations outside the wire. Anything pointing to the right is landing on...

Thank you. Assuming you mean kit, my lens is a Canon 70-300 L mounted to an EOS 50D from the ark.

    RIAT 23

Very enjoyable set of photographs. Could have done with a bit more of that sunshine on the Sunday.

    Military Mix

Oh that's interesting, where'd you see it as I don't have Facebook!? Probably someone else's from a similar position? Here's a few more from the year: 9) F-35A on approach to RAF Lakenheath 10) B-52H lining up to take off at RIAT 11) MC-130J circuit training at RAF Mildenhall 12) 'Crazy...

    Military Mix

Thanks for all the comments. I suppose that depends on what you want from it and how far you'd be having to travel. It has become a bit of a tourist hotspot since covid, so there's usually an awful lot of people milling around the fence these days. Lakenheath only fly Mon-Fri, unless there's...

    Assorted 2023 Warbirds

Ah, it was the file size, thank you. They should all be showing now I hope.

    Assorted 2023 Warbirds

Small selection from the year so far. I think I'm getting better at processing RAW images now but feedback is always welcomed. All taken on an ancient EOS 50D with the 70-300 L. 1) P-51D Mustang warming up at North Weald 2) P-47D Thunderbolt taxiing out to depart IWM Duxford 3) Spitfire T.9...
