Thanks for that, as I don't have any 'serious' reason to stop using the CF card, you've provided a good reason why I should stick with them :) I'm sure I've read similar sometime in my distant past :)

Thanks very much for the replies :) I always thought Photoshop was the 'beefier' product but Lightroom seems to have a more useful GUI - I wonder if there's a way for Photoshop to replicate the GUI/front end of Lightroom. Thanks again.

Now I'm retired I have the time to start using my equipment :) Whenever the subject of editing the pictures one takes crops up, it's always Lightroom mentioned, rarely Photoshop! So, my question is as in the subject, should I buy Lightroom or stick with Photoshop CS6? I already have online...

I love viewing pictures especially those that exhibit the skill of the photographer as opposed the the skill of using Photoshop or lightroom! Some pictures posted on many forums are so unreal, edited so heavily to enhance colours and other aspects to a point that looks hideous (in my opinion)...
