    Spoke to Joe over the phone today. He just confirmed that they are identical models, apart of the tubes materials (alloy and CF). Haven't ordered it today as they did't have ball heads in stock, which they should get by Friday. So should wait untill then.

    Yeah, please let me know Simon. Looking at the specs of both again, the carbon one actually 370g lighter. Don't know if 370g worth 90 quid extra. Decisions, decisions... BTW looking at your location, looks like we are neighbors, I live in S. Norwood.:)

    Thanks for the rapid responses guys! I think I'll go for the alloy version then. I can't find 583 head that you suggested Simon, unless you ment 528 model. My initial plan was to buy a RSH-12 ball head, so the one which comes on offer is just a nice bonus. I'll ring them tomorrow to find out...
