Marrakech is amazing but a lot of the locals are not keen on having their picture taken. I was there about 3 years ago and felt very safe but its different times now and you may wish to evaluated based on your own findings.

Scott, Do you mind sharing info on the courses you are going to .? I have been looking about for a while but hadn't found any suitable ( sometimes dates, sometimes location) so interested in what you have found. Cheers

Lots to try folks , thanks for the input. I have the RAW file so will experiment until I get it "right" I do know the technique for shooting this properly and have done it previously ... I just didn't execute it very well this time and was too late to reshoot. We all make mistakes.

Cheers, thats a lot better. Certainly helped the background , but subject needs a lot more help than that! I will have another go.

Here is an example of the issue. I'm afraid that there is nothing that can be done to improve the subject but maybe someone can help with the background...

I have taken a number of low key portraits using a black cloth background but the creases in the cloth are showing and spoiling the look. Can anyone advise the best way to deal with this or guide me to a tutorial? TIA

I have a couple of the 560 Mk III and they are great . Worth getting the YN560-TX trigger too if you budget will stretch . I thought they were unnecessary until I got one ....now its indispensable :)
