Cheers Toby, you ain't wrong, it took me all day to pull the boat into that position :D seriously though there wasn't enough height behind me to get an angle that the boat didn't protrude onto the landscape in tha background. I didn't really think about it at the time but that is a lesson...

Geoff cheers for the comments, I see what you mean about the spars and the land behind them clashing, not much I can do about that now but something to bear in mind for future shots. Do you think a 16:9 crop would work better cutting out some of the sky?

Had an epic weekend with the better half for our 10th Anniversary, it involved driving the west coast of the Highlands in a Caterham and staying in some amazing accomodation at Lochinver. Anyway the Caterham didn't have much room for my photography equipment but I did manage to bag this shot...

Thanks Carl, so many details and so many different angles I didn't know where to start. I'm quite keen on the E-Type shot but not so sure about the others. Anyway glad you like them.

Cheers, never taken photos at a car show before. It's amazing how difficult it is to get a clean shot, too many people and cars parked very close together.

Well battery arrived today, there is 2 grams of difference in weight, the packaging was convincing, it has a slightly different feel to the plastic, it registers with a 7 digit serial number on the camera. Seems legit I guess.

I think the colour in the sky is probably light pollution from all the street lights rather than a white balance issue.

Well thought I would post this to show the quality of a high iso shot. Was at a friends house last night and the kids were showing off. I'm amazed at the output. This was shot RAW, imported to lightroom, adjusted white balance, exported to full size jpg with no other adjustments. Auto ISO...

Yeah I realise that now but didn't really think about it before I upgraded. Just thought I would point it out to anyone else who is thinking of upgrading :)
