Thanks Steve. Unfortunately I've only got one camera and one card reader. Both fail to transfer the videos to my Mac and produce an err 02. Bizzarre! I have an old ixus 400. Maybe I'll put the cards in there to test..?

Unfortunately not. I broke open the packaging last night, formatted in-camera, and shot 1GB of video, leaving the remaining 30GB free. The stuff plays back fine, just can't transfer is out using either camera or USB adapter. Encounter an err 02.

Thanks, but I doubt they are fakes. Both were purchased at different times through amazon. One sold _by_ Amazon. Both come with identical official packaging and serial numbers which I registered on the transcend website. Anyone else seen this kind of behaviour, and know what it can imply?

Yes, all the UV MC ones are Multi-Coated, hence 'MC' in the name and 'Multi-Coated' in the tech spec. However the 77mm ND filter has neither 'MC' in the name or 'Multi-Coated' in the tech spec. I conclude then that it does not have these feature. Not sure if the £90 price tag was ever justified...
