I'm looking to transition from Photography into doing some video work. Mostly documentation/interview filming people so there will be a lot of talking on camera.
I'll be using a 5D and did a little research about Microphones also. But as I'm just starting out do I need to worry about XLR...

I wish companies would learn this. I got turned down for a job recently. My portfolio was "fantastic" but I didn't have a photography qualification.
Not sure a 'grade' in how to take a photo is more important than evidence that I can actually take a photo :bang:
Yeah I also cancelled my subscription to them. Especially when there was more of "how to photoshop your photo's to look like amazing landscapes" instead of just teaching people how to take really good landscape shots. :bonk:
3200 sounds like a good ISO to go. Flash would more than likely be a no. I've shot a few gigs and never been able to use a flash. But really it wasn't to big of a deal with a wide aperture. I was shooting film though and I shot pretty much at F1.8 and ISO 1000 all night and the shots where fine...
