Don't we know it. The wind is moving round to the west now so the pressure comes off the windows but the roof starts to ripple along its length and the tiles rattle something rotten. We depend on the 'wind map' at http://www.xcweather.co.uk/. It's really useful for up to the minute info. I don't...
In case anyone's interested it's b*!!&y windy up here. The roofs rattling like crazy and the floors are vibrating. My weather station at 8 ft from the ground is showing figures like 65mph and it doesn't transmit gusts! We live on the west coast of Skye and look directly down the barrel of where...
I have a D3 and 70-200VR. There should be no problem.
The lens doesn't have electronic aperture so it can't be the contacts. My bet is that he's bent the aperture lever on his D3. Can you get to compare it with your other cameras?

Sadly I didn't know Duncan the mechanic last year when I wanted one :(
Does he work at Highland Motors?
It's Camas Mòr and I have a picture from there on my website. I didn't see the campsite though. I shall have to go back and pay a visit. The slipway there is a very nice place to go and...
They seem to go bonkers and kill everything handy, much like foxes, and then just eat to satisfy. . The hens are also pretty nervous when the hen harrier pays a visit and the sparrowhawk which eats the visiting pigeons. Curiously they recognise the difference and completely ignore the buzzards...
Otters are easily big enough. I talked to a crofter recently who lost 2 geese to an otter which beheaded them. We have lost 2 hens to a weasel but the cat got the weasel 2 days later. Otters typically destroy the entire flock.
