@gramps I've not done any processing to this photo yet but have Photoshop CS available. @Kodiak Qc That is definitely along the lines I was thinking :) What adjustments did you make? Thanks both for replying! :)

Sunken Building in Old Cromwell New Zealand

I'd accidentally left my battery packed in luggage at the bottom of the boot but we passed here and really wanted to take a shot so had to use my phone. I actually quite like the shot from a composition point of view but maybe could look a little more vibrant. Would be great if I could do...

    A Frosty Morning in Cheddar

Absolutely love #2 though really nice composition. The only thing I would maybe do is crop a little off the top and/or bottom but that is just personal preference. Am not personally a fan of the others as not really keen on the composition of the shots but really do like the 2nd one :)

    Christmas Bauble with Light Painting

Thanks for the comments and positive feedback folks :) I did actually start off trying to shoot the bauble whilst still on the tree but struggled to get it to stand out as the clear main object in the shot, all the attempts also came out looking a bit samey so thought I would try something...

An area I am really interested in learning about and practicing...

    Tuscan Sunset

I have just spent a week in the town of Seggiano in beautiful Tuscany and this is one of the sunsets I took. I have posted this because whilst I really love the clouds I am not sure if the sun itself is too small or if I should brighten the landscape below which is just a silhouette at present...

Advice for running a photography competition

Thanks for the response dan, It is obviously very important to ensure that we stay protected as a company in terms of leaving ourselves open to copyright infringements but also really important that we make anyone interested in submitting an entry comfortable that they are not being screwed...

    Experiment with light painting

Thanks for the feedback Arkady :) I think I am going to have a go at retaking the shot as the original pretty dark and I am really having to push exposure and lighting to get anything at the moment... Am planning to do this tonight so stay tuned! :D

    Is this working for you?

Hi Martin, Definitely works better for me with the edit to the hair. In terms of the nose, it was more the visibility of the nose support part of the glasses that I thought was too apparent. Please see image edit below for illustration of what I mean. Obviously this is entirely subjective...
