Image Being Used For Sale Without My Permission

Hi, Just found one of my images online. Without going into precise details it is on a website that sells wall coverings, canvas etc. You can buy these with my image printed on. Website appears to have contact numbers in Eire and UK (I suspect they are based in Eire). I have this...

Cat Appreciation Society! - lets see those catz!

I can't believe this thread is still going. My last post in here was 2009!! Some superb shots - really showing cat's personalities. Here's an old film one from me... Tiny the Cat by Freester, on Flickr

Polariser. Screw in or Lee system

Oh yes. Compose the shot, get the grads right and rotate the polariser to get whatever effect you need :) I think I was trying to say (but not very well) if budget is an issue you can get away with a screw in polariser as your one polarising filter.

Polariser. Screw in or Lee system

Joining this thread a little late but I used a Hoya screw in circular polariser with my Lee Filters for a couple of years. The Hoya I have has a thread on the outside so I could screw the polariser into the lens, and then the Lee adaptor into the thread on the outside of the polariser. It was...

    My First TP Post!

It's a nice shot. It's exposed pretty well but to get the nice blues the foreground is quite dark (although the detail is there which is good). As Effjay says the tree is quite distracting / obstructing. Without knowing the view I would have moved slightly to the right so that the tree...

    Which filters to get ?

90% of the time I use a 2 stop hard ND grad. That will be the best for bringing the 'sky to the land' for the majority of landscapes. Next preference would be a 2 or 3 stop ND if you shoot water - just for slowing down the movement in daylight. A 10 stop really is your preference as this...

B&W 10 stop ND filter vignette - help required

I found vignetting to be worse with my Big Stopper if I forgot to to cover the viewfinder whilst taking the shot. Use the little rubber thingy on the strap or just some electrical tape.

The Old 'Published Photo for Credit' Chestnut

I think on the point of view of the names thing. Yes I did originally copy and paste the pro-togs (now removed) and yes it was the publisher that wrote the names in an email to me. I originally included the names as there was at least 1 or 2 well known MTB togs that I wanted to use as an...

The Old 'Published Photo for Credit' Chestnut

There's a few names left in quotes from other people I've asked the mods nicely to sort.

Naboo32 - would you mind deleting the remaining name in your quote - as the tog mentioned could be identified by name - it's his website. Thanks.

The Old 'Published Photo for Credit' Chestnut

Hi Steve, I hear what you are saying. I've done enough of the photo for credit thing. Quite happy to donate my images to the local MTB club for the website etc. Some of the images were for pleasure. Some MTB images I have got up early and worked long and hard for - for little return. I...

The Old 'Published Photo for Credit' Chestnut

Thanks everyone for the replies. You have certainly strengthened my resolve. Before posting I emailed a couple of the pro names mentioned and asked if they did 'donate' the images free of charge. Let's see if I get a reply... I've also replied to the request stating if there is a budget we...
