    What HD Video Camera?

Why not this then and it's almost half your budget. Its got some great reviews (from real people) and it even has IS built in :) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kodak-PlayFull-1080P-Stabilisation-Built-/dp/B004LFM0EY/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1358759401&sr=8-10

    GoPro HERO3: 2.7k 30fps, 1080p 60fps, 720p 120fps

I sold it with the LCD BacPac and got a total of £230, but I'm seeing them go for around £200 on eBay.

    GoPro HERO3: 2.7k 30fps, 1080p 60fps, 720p 120fps

I think a sweet little timelapses would be dusk at the top of the empire state building. I've been there at that time and got some great shots. Get there in good time and if you do show us your low light results.

I just sold my 2 to get the 3 :D Now I just need to convince myself that I should take up some extreme sport lol  I'll start off with some time lapse stuff first to get warmed up

    GoPro HERO3: 2.7k 30fps, 1080p 60fps, 720p 120fps

    GoPro HERO3: 2.7k 30fps, 1080p 60fps, 720p 120fps

I'm looking to get one soon too having put my Hero 2 up for sale. I'm wanting it for low light timelapse work. Can someone just explain the 4k bit to mean ie what it means. For some reason I've got brain lock on the matter :)

    Shooting Star

I'm not so convinced. Iridiums in low orbit have a higher flare intensity for a longer period of time. This is more likely a piece of rocket or other space junk that's tumbling and rotating on its axis, but agreed with you all....not a shooting star I'm afraid.

    Star Trails (4 revisit)

Good attempt although I have to agree with Al. It is hard to find some locations that fit the bill, especially if you're trying to avoid that nasty light pollution from nearby towns. I'm looking to get out to Kielder Water in Northumberland. It's one of the darkest places in the UK and with...

    0137HRS: TPD2012

Superb shot Matt, love the location. Could it have been possible to stack the wool image say on top of a few 30secs exposures of the stars to get some trails in there? Either way I love this...will have to try the flaming wool one day

    Austria....from above!

It was clear skies for my flight back from Klargenfurt to Stansted. Sadly they were caught on my HTC Desire HD, but I still think they're good...enjoy :) Untitled by Frostmeister, on Flickr Untitled by Frostmeister, on Flickr Untitled by Frostmeister, on Flickr Untitled by...
