Any good recommendations to start with for fluid heads? I think I'll get a redsnapper 284/61 combo to start with, but there are so many options!

Looking at the Redsnapper tripods atm, which look good! I'm also trying to decide between the ball heads, or the 3-way pan, for sports/training use. This is for use with a camcorder (around £300 with x50 zoom) and the plan is to track a boat on a long stretch of water from around 1-2km...
