    Tamron firmware update?

No, no usb port. Nor can canon fit lenses be updated by the body (unlike Sony). I've emailed Tamron, so I'll post an update when I know more.

    Tamron firmware update?

Hey all. I went out with my twin Canon R7s with my trusty Tamron 70-300 and 150 to 600 (G1) at Oulton Park yesterday. Notwithstanding that I didn't realise just how much muscle memory I had with the 70D, my keeper rate was absolutely terrible. In particular, I don't like what the viewfinder does...

How do I recover photos from my camera after accidentally formatting my SD card?

Yep, another vote for Recuva. It has saved me a few times.

Makimus-AI: Free AI photo searcher that works well with motorsport photos

Firstly, I should say I have no connection with the creator. I found this while looking for a tool that I could use to find specific cars/manufacturers in my extensive motorsport photography catalogue. Installation was pretty easy - I just asked chatgpt for some instructions to help. It runs...

Photoscribe - Free AI keyword and caption generator

Andy Hutchinson, who some of you may know from computer magazines off the 90s, now runs an excellent photography YouTube channel. In a recent post, he went through a free tool that he has built to generate keywords and captions for your images using a free local AI model on your PC/MAC. There is...

Canon users -are RF lenses worth the premium for hobbyists?

Thanks for all the tips everyone. In the end, I bought a Canon 24mm pancake, 50mm 1.8 and 85mm 1.8, all EF mount. I have to say that the quality on my R7 is flawless. I don't know what I don't know, but I doubt any benefit of RF lenses would justify the financial outlay for my purposes. MPB is...

    Glass.photo: users thread

Okay, a few days in, Glass is hands down the winner. It has people that comment on your images and provide critique. It's not full of bots and cack like instacack. It's not full of trash and ads like flickr. I love it, it has the sense of a real photography app made for photographers.

Ah, Andy Hutch. He used to edit Your Sinclair in the 90s, and is absolutely hilarious.

    Glass.photo: users thread

I have just signed up, and managed to get 50% off my first year with the code GREENLIGHT if anyone wants a discount. I have also signed up for a free FOTO account, and am going to run them side by side to see which (if either) is better.

Canon users -are RF lenses worth the premium for hobbyists?

I suppose that makes for easier handling if I have large, clumsy hands (which I do).

Canon users -are RF lenses worth the premium for hobbyists?

Just reviving this thread to ask for some feedback on two lenses. What is your views on the following options for a Canon R7? The Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM vs the Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM and The Canon EF-S 10-18mm f4.5-5.6 IS STM vs the Canon RF-S 10-18mm f4.5-6.3 STM Lens?

Canon users -are RF lenses worth the premium for hobbyists?

I recently replaced my Canon 70D and 60D with a pair of R7s. I am looking to buy a 50mm 1.8 and a 10-18mm. The used RF versions of both are significantly more than their EF equivalents. I already own a RF to EF adapter. For someone who shoots for a hobby, is the quality of the EF versions good...

Automatic tagging of cars and bikes

Wasn't that helpful, as his software didn't actually work for me!
