    Yet Another Macro!

I see what you mean. But no flashgun batteries were harmed during the taking of that shot, t'was illuminated purely by solar power :) Thanks for the comments, Alan Woodford

    Yet Another Macro!

Well, I said I'd post one of my macro's from this afternoon, so here it is! Canon 20D and 100mm Macro, F/11. 1/200 sec, ISO 200 No tweaking, just a crop and a re-size. So what do people think? Alan Woodford

    More macro

No kiddin :( If they did, I'd seriously consider swapping my 100mm macro though! I've been out this afternoon taking pics od little buzzy things - if there are any half decent ones I'll post them - but not before Dr Who  Alan Woodford

What's your one most useful tip..

And 87.435% of statistics are made up on the spot :p Doesn't stop your main point being right though. There is a reason I  my 24-105 IS L, and it's not the maximum focal length! Seriously, I have always had problems with camera shake (no, it's not down to the booze :) ) but IS has...

    Infrared conversions

Yep, that's exactly the problem. CBA to get it fixed though, what with two other Canon film bodies to play with! And my 1N HS (a 1N with an 8-AA motor drive :D ) will burn through a 36 shot roll in about 6 seconds, so my need for speed is almost satisfied. But it's funny you should mention...

    Infrared conversions

You need to be a bit careful with film bodies, sometimes. Apparently my old EOS 100 uses an LED that puts out lots of infra-red to sense where the film is :cuckoo: Apparently you get a nice wide foggy strip along the bottom of your film - who says more tech is always better? But my 600...

    Eurovision 2006

At least the Finns had the nerve to do something different to the usual eurocarp :D Fair warmed the cockles of an old headbangers heart, it did  :bang: <edit>In fact, it is probably the only erovision song, and certainly the only eurovision winner, I've ever considered buying...

Look the Matrix is captured again

There is no chain - except on one of my Fleetwood Mac cds :exit: It is some sort of brown stick or cane in the guys hand, and the dog has turned away from the camera. Alan Woodford

    Your user name

Well, the avatar pic should give you a clue :D And no, I'm not really a 200 foot tall, atomic fire breathing lizard king! (Although some people have been heard to suggest that the big G is better looking than me!) Alan Woodford

Landscape photographers - throw away your cameras

And what is wrong with film :suspect: ? Apart from the costs, and the time delays, and the scanning hassle, and... (there are two loaded film cameras within fifteen foot of me at the moment  ) Alan Woodford
