i have never used a d3000 so not sure but im sure someone will be around soon to tell you
perhaps check on the specs of both cameras and weigh up which features of the d3000 you cant live with and see if they are on the d200 ....perhaps if you can stretch to it a d300 may not be such a large...
the d300 was tested to 150k iifc (and that was tested to not died after) so only a third of the way through its life if you consider it was released mid (ish) 2007 and discontinued discontinued mid (ish) 2009 it has at best done 12.5k shots per year and at worst 25k shots per year either way...
i have the same on my d300 and find it works really well i have no idea about how many shots as i never count have heard about 4k being done tho .......on a recent trip to scotland i got a full weeks shooting with just the original in the camera and the 4 in the grip settings varied and i didnt...
dunno what your budget is or if it is what you are looking for but cex coventry have a 7d with a 24-105 in for a shade over 1500£ with 12 months warranty (and if you are paying cash ask for 5% discount it usually works)
well done that is a good price for what you have ....im sure you are very happy with it ......... if it has not already been done get the latest firmware and you almost have a d2xs
