Meanygate meanderings - a farmed landscape

I thought broccoli at first but looking more closely they look like leaves rather than florets so I’m going to go for curly kale :)

Having had a walk on the beach today (sans camera) and watching those little buggers motoring around I’m in awe of that shot. Very much top job that man :)

I don’t know if you’re aware but the second of these, or very similar at least, was published in the Times online today credited to you E2FHPY :)

    Canon 50mm f/1.8 STM?

I must say I was pleasantly surprised, I’ll have to try it across a range of apertures another night :)

    Canon 50mm f/1.8 STM?

This is a just a straight conversion to jpeg in C1 with no adjustments and yes I’m aware I fluffed the exposure and didn’t even get the camera level :ROFLMAO: Canon 50mm f1.8 stm test shot by James, on Flickr

    Canon 50mm f/1.8 STM?

I have the aforementioned lens. I haven’t used it since I had my 80D a few years back but if I get chance later I’ll put it on my A7RIII later (obviously via an adapter) and post up the results :)

    Cogglesford Mill

Thanks for your comments, much appreciated (I’m a bit of a sucker for mist though) :)

    Cogglesford Mill

Thanks both. I agree about the pipe but I’m not keen on removing permanent features from an image, I have actually removed a couple of temporary signs and a bright red dog waste bin but they’re both more transient features. As far as taking the shot from lower down I did also do that and to be...

    Cogglesford Mill

I took this yesterday morning and it’s sad to say but I’m quite excited by it. I know it’s not the most exciting picture but it was taken on the first walk I’ve had that’s not been around the immediate vicinity of either my house or work since lockdown started :) I think it’s definitely...

I’ve had this before when my card has expired :)

Does anyone have a camera that's always with you?

When I’m at work I’m rarely far from my truck so my camera gear is pretty much always close to hand (currently A7RIII). If for some reason I don’t want to lug my main camera about then my battered and bruised RX100M3 is in my pocket, these days I rarely seem to use the camera on my phone except...
