This sounds like a great trip and I'd be keen to hear what you end up doing. Doing the Portsmouth to St Malo ferry sailing with the car in the summer - although it's not as pretty as yours :LOL:.

Waterfall at Virginia Water can be very popular for those Instagram shots when it's sunny but you'll probably have some success in the winter/early spring. Vote for Ingleton Falls - you'll need to walk a bit to reach the best waterfalls which isn't ideal for those with mobility issues, but...

There's something about drizzle in NW that is magic either way. Went in August due to climb Snowdon and ended up on lower level trails but when the mist temporarily lifted... WOW! Also the excess water running down the mountains definitely added something to photos.
