Poll: To grip or not to grip

Gripped for me as i use my 5D for weddings so the extra battery power saves me from fliiping around changing batterys more often if it wasnt connected, plus using it in portrait with the grip makes it feel easer to use and balances the camera out better with heavier lenses on.

Thanks for the great replys peeps. There are some more on the blog if you wanna look. Thinking of getting this on a canvass for the house. Out of all of the sunrises I think this looks the best.

    Wheat fields

The first is bang in tack sharpe. Loving the colours and the flair you got from the sun. Did you just sharpen these or have you blended the exposures? Great work!!

    Sunrise in leyburn yorkshire

On an early rise about 04:30 in the morning in Yorkshire I decided to get up and take a shot of a sunrise. I'm usually a sunset kind of guy but I thought this time I would get up at the other end of the clock and take my first sunrise. More shots are on my blog but here is a photo of the sun...

    Favourite Wedding Photo

One from a wedding I did a while back. Must admit not my best but the b&g had to take a customary bounce on the trampoline for good luck.

Still got my 350D since launch, use it as a backup as my main camera now is a 5D mkI. The 5D is awesome but if i ever had the $ id upgrade to a 5D mkIII as i feel one day death will claim my 350D :'(

    Recommendations for a backpack please.

I have the Kata 3in1 - 30 bag. Kata do different sizes for your needs. I bought this as a replacment for my lowepro slingshot as the zipper broke on that. The Kata can be used as a normal rucksack or by the disconnection and reconnection of the strap+clip can be a sling bag too. It has enough...

    Watermarks ?

I always use Adobe Lightroom for adding my watermarks (if needed) when exporting my photos. Very easy to create one and easy to add to any position on the image.

Two frome today in bad light

I think the exposure is good in number 1 but the head stone is a bit too distracting for me and blocking too much of the the church. Nice colours in 2 but im not sure what its supposed to be  damn crop circles lol

    The Water front Nottingham

I was in Nottingham taking some photographs and here is one of the waterfront which is a great starting place if you out for a night in town. In the photo there is the Bar Via Fosse and the Canal House Restaurant. It's really nice to sit by the canal with a nice cold drink in sun.

    Classic car day

Thanks vm Tim. I was using my 5D with the 24-70L. Tbh i got very close to the nose thanks to the Full frame sensor of the 5D. I think it gives that touch of atmosphere to the photographs.
