This may sound rather petty but I find it really annoying when working in manual that you have set your exposure correctly, working at 17mm at f/2.8 and at some point change the focal length and then have to change you exposure settings again cos it won't stay at f/2.8..... Call it lazy, call it...

Hi all Thought I ask a quick question to all the Sony experts here about the best choice for a new lens. I want to replace my siggy 17-70 f/2.8-4.5 with a lens that has a constant f/2.8 but really not sure what is considered to be the best. One problem is that I'm on a bit of a budget so...

Hi all, I may be in a position to upgrade my camera body around xmas time, as long as the fund raising goes to plan, and I was just wondering that given the choice of these new A500/550's or trying to find a new A700, or indeed good second hand one, which would you go for? Thanks

I suppose I was a little embarresed/nervous about using a tripod in busy public places to start with but I'm kinda ok with it now. At the end of the day if the shot you want means you have to use a tripod then so be it. I'll be whipping mine out tonight in London and I won't give to hoots about...

Thanks for the info everyone but it looks like I'm going to miss out then as I really can't get the money together now, I was hoping to get some cash as xmas prezzies from the relatives and be able to fund one that way :( Oh well, might find one secondhand I suppose

Hi all, Noticed lately quite a few people snapping up A700's at pretty decent prices. Is this because it's not going to be made any more or replaced. The reason I ask is that I quite fancied upgrading to it from the A350 but I wouldn't be able to do it till xmas and I just had this horrid...

To my eye they look sharper, but then I haven't been to the opticians in a while ;) Seriously though they do look sharper than the first set of shots :)

Agree with Gary, nice shots :) My guess is that the Virgin and Sri Lankan have just taken off as the landing gear has already been retracted where as the other to are landing as the landing gear is down and the flaps are fully out. That just made me sound really sad didn't it! :geek: :lol:

Took this shot a couple of months back and have since had it put on a huge canvas. I converted it to mono because it the colour version didn't look right for where we (she) wanted to put it in the house. Any C&C welcome :)

Had a couple of hours to kill up at Heathrow the other evening so I set about trying to capture some of the aircraft on take off whilst the sun went down and this shot was probably the pick of the bunch. Any C&C welcome :)
