    TTL vs Manual difference?

I'm wondering if there could be auto ISO in the mix too - might be missed?

I was watching a really interesting youtube channel (bigclivedotcom) and he has some videos on "Dubai bulbs". The short version is most LED bulbs over drive the LEDs causing them to run out of their efficient zone, creating more heat and breaking sooner. The Phillips Dubai only bulbs have many...

    Domain forwarding - extra step

If you had a direct cloudflare account you can actually log in and check the ray id from the captcha screen and see if Cloudflare offers a config change to stop this, or you could also try checking if the public IP on Vodaphone is on a bad reputation list somewhere (try a "whatismyip" to get...

    Domain forwarding - extra step

Cloudflare (the content delivery network being used to deliver the site) is blocking the request and throwing a captcha to make sure the request is from a real person. I'd guess that the Vodaphone source IPs (maybe they are using a proxy - so combining many users requests behind a small number...

    Bathroom Scales reading...

You know what's really messed up is the US foot is actually based on metric values: In 1893, the U.S. government defined a foot as 1,200 meters divided by 3,937. Plug those numbers into a calculator and you get 0.3048006 meters. Those last three digits (and it goes on even longer if you want to...

Does English cooking have a "Dumpling"? aka, anything that is pastry wrapped 360 with filling and bite size. Cornish pasty need not apply.

I can't remember what program I was watching over the festive period, but I recall "mince" pies originally contained meat, and then changed to become the sweet festive pie we have now. Perhaps there is something along those lines?

Garry, I'm going to have to apologise as I never actually got around to writing a review (I have now). Good luck :)

RAID levels - best one ?

Are you RAIDing for capacity or redundancy? With only 4 Drives, I've personally gone R5. R6 is basically R5+1 "extra" spare when one fails. But the issue is you have is only have 4 drives. So R5 is n+1 (3+1), R6 is n+2 = 2 drives + two "spare", better than mirroring for redundancy as you can...

    Layer masks in GIMP

Have you had a read through the gimp tutorial on it? https://www.gimp.org/tutorials/Layer_Masks/ Short version - a mask is applied to the layer you want to make (parts of) transparent. So you will have another layer below that will now show through the "black" parts of the mask. In your...

Any heating engineers - need input on DCH closed system water pressure and radiator performance

I'm not a heating engineer... but if they are all the wrong way, could you not just swap them at the boiler?

    Canon 5d4 trigger compatibility

I still use yongnuo yn-622c-tx and with the 6Dmk2 initially got errors and wouldn't work. However as I've had the triggers quite a while, I checked and there was a firmware update for them that fixed things and all worked fine for me since. Not sure which triggers you were using?

Will the MacBook Pro 2015 handle Lightroom and photoshop?

It'll work, but there are things that put more pressure on your computer. For example, larger high res images, extensive layers. Multiple images open at the same time. Basically the more apps running at the same time (lots of Photoshop plugins and Lightroom all open together) typically make...
