I will make sure to keep an eye on everything then to prevent it being robbed, my dad will be with me too so he can help look after it. Apart from equipment theft is there anything to know about the track in general or getting to it?

Thanks for the reply, the queues shouldn't be too bad near the track as it's not as big as the F1. I was thinking of going to malpensa, getting the train to monza and staying in a hotel.

Sounds good then! I only use my photos on instagram at the moment but id like to get media access at some events in the future so some may go online.

Think I'm stuck between the d750 or the d500. I've looked on flickr for shots and the d750 seem to be a bit clearer but everything else on the d500 is better. Is the d500 sensor good at stillstoo? (Maybe the odd portrait?) Edit: By stills I mean stationary car shots that are parked at events
