No, sadly I hold out no hope at all of seeing the return of Kodachrome, as - like others have pointed out - the development process is frankly ridiculous! The renaissance of Ektachrome is something though, certainly something I didn't think I'd see in the near future...

Oh wow, this has made my day! I only discovered film photography in the last year and was crushed when I first discovered that these beautiful Ektachrome and Kodachrome images I had pored over in books I could never make - what excellent news :)

Edit: it seems they have committed one offence, namely trespassing, but thank god they did as otherwise it might have been weeks until the poor guy's family knew, after all apparently he had been dead four days already

If they didn't know/check properly that he had no vital signs then that's clearly problematic, and they should have done so. As others have said the fact that he was found at all given that the place was abandoned is definitely a good thing, insofar as letting his family know is concerned. But...

I'm a youngie, so my first was my dad's canon 450d - I learned so much on that camera. Perhaps ironically I now mainly use film (except for things that need a quick turnaround) so I've gone in the other direction from most!

I'm a little confused: when you say it will 'let in more light', which 'it' are we referring to? Presumably as there's no change in the aperture and no change in shutter speed - and changing the ISO dial on its own can hardly change the sensitivity of the film - we just mean the meter rather...
