    Photography, the return...

Hey guys, Thanks for your replies, ideally working to a budget, not much more than a grand, whilst I love the look of the A7, it'd over stretch my budget. Have been looking at the X-T1 and the X-T2 and there seems to be a few bargains about! Lenses are reasonable priced too! Need to get my...

    Apple prices increased!

The new 15" MacBook Pro does look amazing! But at £2349 and £2599 puts it out of budget for me - a shame really as the Touch Bar looks like a handy little tool!

    Photography, the return...

After a few years break from photography, I'm starting to get the itch again - not only personally, but also need for business. I like the idea of compact mirrorless bodies, however, I have always been a DSLR kinda guy - used to own a pair of 5d III's and a large selection of L lenses, so I'm...

    SLR Hut

I bought some stuff a while ago from them - no problems here - grey stock didn't bother me at the time!

Grading / Colouring with Lightroom 5

You can grade using Lightroom 5 if you film in RAW using the new magiclatern. You'll need fast cards though and lots of them!! I use the komputerbay 1000x cards, they work a treat!

The 5dIII PDF works fine on my ipad using ibooks. Using the most up to date firmware on an ipad air.

Canon 7d - Strange Firmware and Factory Menu.

When I spoke to Canon they said they'd sort it. However I never sent it back to them as the issue never really bothered me that much. Give Elstree a call. They'll sort it out for you! I assume it's still under warranty?

    Prime lens for portraits

I'd agree with Phil - the 85mm is an amazing portrait lens for the Canon - not much use to a Nikon user though :(

    Newborn training

From my neck of the woods there is Sarah Wilkes who does mentor training. Her work is outstanding - in Nottinghamshire though. She used to be a member here on TP - not sure if she still is though? http://www.sarahwilkesphotography.co.uk/

The boy, his dog and a bokeh boat in the deep blue sea

I like this, but it makes me squint due to the amount of bokeh, not sure if this is a good thing or not... I agree with Ingrid - I do find the rings somewhat distracting. I must like the shot though as I've spent the past 5 minutes looking at it

My first go at smoke art

I like 1 and 2 however, it feels as though you might have held back on post processing, making these image more subtle.

International Dark Skies Week 5-11 April 2013

I've done quite a few evening shoots and as long as you're not too high the results are certainly workable ;)
