The orbs are made by spinning cycle lights on a wire and the glo-sticks were bought on ebay (2 for around £4 inc p&p) from a company called LOCOMOLIFE.com

The circular orbs are tricky until you get the knack, and that takes time and practice.

I used red and white Rolson LED bike lights which lit up the arch....not sure as to why it looks to be purple rather than red....maybe the white lights give off blue tones.
Yes, I'm probably shooting for much longer than I really need to. Some were shot over 30 seconds, which really ought to be something around 10 seconds.
I'll try a few and see how they look.
Last week a few Bristol Flickr group members went out and did a bit of Light Painting photography......here are a few of my shots from that session.
It was all good fun and we plan on going again soon.
