Think twice and consider alternatives before using camarent.co.uk - Ive recently had some bother with them, and it seems I may not be the only one.

Camerent - take care if hiring from them.

Hi, Just a heads up for anyone considering renting Camera bodies - think twice and consider the alternatives before using Camerent.co.uk - I've had a bit of a fight to get a deposit back on a D3X - delays, excuses, non returned calls and finally "a manager" processed a refund 5 business days...

    polarising lens filter

as a certain Scottish engineer once said...you cannie change the laws of physics ;) A polarising filter affects the plane of polarisation of light, in the process affecting saturation and reflections. What are you trying to achieve in PS? The saturation aspect or reflection reduction...

Sadly not Bowens s fit, "universal fit" whatever that means. Does anyone who has these lights know of a beauty dish that fits these lights?

    backup software

Acrionis is very good, for backups or imaging/cloning your os and it's quite intuative. Also so many people use it that if you have a problem there's someone on most forums that has the answer

I ran CS3 on Vista 64 Ultimate for some time before I upgraded to CS4.

    How often do you defrag?

I never defrag my os drive as I don't want to shorten it's life - it's a pair of ssd's. I defrag my storage drives every 3 months or so. Re the benefits, run the defrag program on your os and let it analyse your disks, if a lot of the files have a high degree of fragmentation (i.e. the...
