I bought a Tamron 17-50 from them - was very cheap, arrived within 3 days from HK, and has a very strong warranty (return to UK base). My personal experience was very good and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Nice set so far Michael - I particularly like the horizontal format triptych! I think in theory the vertical layout should work better with landscape orientation shots (and vice versa for portrait orientation) but for some reason I prefer the horizontal - perhaps because it lends better to...
Not technically perfect this one - 1/10th handheld in a 'chaotic' railway station! :D But the fact that it's not sharp and has some motion blur adds to the theme of the photo imo :)
As the dates of the posts will confirm, I've been AWOL on my 52 for a while. I still intend to catch up though, and will do so with a few new photos today. The others are work in progress!

I wasn't trying to link to the theme on this one unfortunately - decided to simply go open theme before I fall any further behind! :shake:
I was trying some ideas for a different theme (for another purpose to the 52 - moonlighting! :lol:) of 'Water'. One thing led to another and I found...
Agree with the comments above. I went from a 450D to a 40D and the difference in handling and controls is huge. The 40D is a dream to use! :D
But video is the one feature which could swing it. Personally I'm not fussed for video so my decision was a no-brainer.

Well, I was falling behind again, so to give me a little boost I decided to use this theme as an 'open theme'. I was taking photos for a photo competition and came up with a few abstracts that I quite liked. My photo for the Open theme is one of these.
