Non UK Vero beach osprey Florida (end of November)

Russ Most of the ospreys will have gone from Florida by then. In the summer they are 10 a penny nesting within a few feet of major highways. You should reach out to the local Audubon chapter to where you are going. Americans are delighted to help. Enjoy your trip!

Geekom Mini Computers Versus Mac Mini

I am no computer expert - I do have a small format computer which was much faster than my laptop before I switched to a MacBook. It runs ON1 (2025) fine with a small lag. I believe that the main issue MAY be that these mini pcs do not have a separate graphics card but use an integrated processor...

The Official TP Funnies thread ( Jokes Memes etc )

Whilst I will have a bottle of tequila ready I think FIFA have destroyed the World Cup and changed it from a competition for fans and to determine the best team in the world (after the mighty Killie!) to a money making venture to line the pockets of Infantino and his cronies - the three most...

Trips to the IoM do sell out at popular times. If you do not want to go but still see puffins go to the Scottish seabird centre in north Berwick who have cameras which show nesting birds (primarily gannets on Bas Rock) but sometimes have puffins on show. There is also st abbs for seabird...

So it looks like I am going to see some Puffins

Yes I have been. There are a lot of variables- when you are going ( are the birds courting/ incubating/ feeding young), weather, number of people etc. when I was there we got relatively close to some (6-8 feet) but there was only a small number of people. There were large numbers of puffins...

So it looks like I am going to see some Puffins

On the IoM you can use anything from a wide angle to telephoto lens. If you are just taking one lens it will restrict you to certain locations and types of photos. Enjoy!

    A Mac Mini M4.......makes sense?

I switched from windows to mac a few months ago ( laptop not desktop). I found that photo editing was not a problem but other things were such as keyboard shortcuts. Something to consider, good luck!
