I am an enthousiastic amateur - I shoot for fun and to have something more than a - hopefully fond - memory of whatever I was looking at or enjoying while taking pictures, be it a fragrant home-cooked dinner, a heart-warming sunset or just that annoying bird that woke me up.
My pleasure. I have thought of a monopod, but thought it would take about as much room as a tripod. And with good light I don't really need one, so... I think I'll just keep looking for now - thanks for the advice though ;)
Thank you for the further compliments.
The animal pictures were hand-held with the 45-200mm, I do not have a tripod yet but now and then I am browsing for one, though it does kindof go against the take-the-camera-everywhere-where-I-go idea ;)
hillwalkinggirl - I do not have a second camera to...
To marky67 and grum - yup, the 45-200mm. Thank you ;) (Though I give credit to the animals for posing, for instance the otters were rather interested in us, I think it was near their feeding time)
I can recommend the following case for the GF1 + 20mm. The lower half improves grip and the top half can easily and quickly be opened/moved out of the way without having to remove its protection altogether before taking a picture.
Furthermore, it comes with a separate cover you can use when...
I did some minor cropping, but as I was in the forest I could get as close as I wanted. I also did some minor Lightroom manipulation (the usual sharpening recommended for any picture), but for the most part it looks like it did when I took it ;)
ps. Nice ladybug oldboy2000 :D Lovely colours in...
Very nice pics people ;)
The weather has been rather horrible here lately unfortunately, but I hope that when I'm off to the UK for a little bit in October, I'll be able to take some usable shots.
