You mean glowing eyes in the dark under the bushes? I actually thought about that same idea if that is what you meant :) Thought it might be a bit cheesy but might give it a try.
Thanks for all the suggestions, all good points that I had overlooked. And yeah I think it would have been more dreamy than spooky if I'd shot a bit earlier which was what I planned but arrived a bit late, cant bring back the background now but I still kinda like it.
Here is with the changes...
I just did this for a bit of fun and to try out a few techniques. Wasn't exactly what I had in mind but I wanted something with a dreamy fantasy feel to it.
What do you guys think? Especially about the colour toning/mist which I added in later.
Thanks, I'll keep all that in mind.
One last thing, how do you decide on your exposures? How do you decide the darkest and brightest, and how far apart they should be? Are there any rules for this?
Thanks for all the advice/opinions. Actually I think I just worked out the problem with lightroom, as I was always using the shortcut I think it had no previous settings to go by and got confused but I now tried with the drop down menus and it worked fine! Result was pretty nice as well, very...
Well the one time I tried doing it in light room it took so long to load I gave up waiting after about 5 minutes (I do have a pretty slow computer), in photomatix it usually loads in around 60 seconds. Maybe I'll give it another try..
But I actually thought the problem might be more regarding...
Sorry I didn't quite understand your reply... Are you saying that I should have only used 2 exposures?
I'm not an expert in HDR, or fully understand how it works to be honest so excuse correct me if anything I say may be wrong but... To get details in the window/lamp and in the shadows the...
This is kind of about the whole process rather than just the editing but I guess this will be the best forum for this...
I shoot a lot of interiors, and often use HDR techniques to bring a more dynamic range as well as add depth and contrast to the image. The problem is... Every single time I...
My portfolio has changed a lot over the last few years. But finally I am starting to feel like it has developed into something well structured and organized. It started as one page of everything, then split into headshots/portraits, and now finally I have enough work to create an...
Thanks, though yeah unfortunately they only had lights under the hob or it would have looked a lot nicer.
Just wondering though..... Does anyone prefer that light being warmed up, or left at the same colour temp of the room? I unintentionally did one photo with and one without in those and now...
Am just getting into real estate and had one of my first jobs to shoot 2 kitchens for a contractor. Would love to hear some opinions how I did? How I could do better? And how I could edit differently?
Mostly I shot them with 1 or 2 speedlights to balance the light, I also took some brackets...
Thanks for both the replies :)
Well she was a bit close but to soo much, I'd say 2 meters from the background but my room is only 4-5 meters long so that's about as far as I can go :/ Another time I had to take a white background in a room even half this size though! That was a nightmare...
I do quite a lot of white backgrounds but somehow still feel like I am struggling with them... I don't have enough lights to put 1 each side so usually put just 1 speedlight in the center with a diffusion dome on it to spread the light out, I know it is not ideal but it's what I have to work...
