Well it's not an HDR. It's possible I may have upped the blacks a little too much. I've perhaps over-sharpened too as you suggested in the other thread. I may well reprocess both later on.

As for straightening it: look at the path, the vertical lines of the gate posts...
I like that but I disagree about the pylon needing to be removed. It's not a countryside landscape and it doesn't distract my attention from the trails and standing against the sky, I think it adds a bit of mood to the scene in that it smacks of human kind's intervention in respect of our view...
The time to do the Peak District justice is during the golden hours, in my opinion. It has a beauty of its own, but its hills don't really present an obvious focal point like some places do.
