Having only just bought one of these lenses myself in the last few weeks, this is of real interest.... However I have to say that tempting as the eBay price is, with the seller having just 9 feedbacks I think this really does seem to be a case of 'if it seems too good to be true.....'

I have the 35 1.4 and the 24-70 and I have found that I rarely use the 35mm, to my mind the 24-70 works very well in combination with the D800 and of course is that bit more versatile.

I would certainly not recommend using water to clean the electrical contacts!! A blower or a brush would be a good option.

I also use a kiboko 30L, and have to say it is an excellent bag. When I bought it I specifically wanted a bag that would be suitable to take on board an aircraft and also would be capable of carrying my 600mm f4 lens. This bag is great for both required purposes! The design of the bag really...

I have the 14-24 and the 16-35, but to be honest I have to admit to very little use of either of them so wouldn't like to make comparisons as yet. I recently took a trip to the Canadian rockies and took the 14-24 as well as my 24-70 and 70-200, I have the Lee 150mm filter set for the 14-24...

That's a very good point actually!! It's just I have been using my 24-70 with circular polarising filter here in the French alps and getting some very good results despite the current very hot/bright sunny weather. You can really see the difference with and without the filter hence my thoughts...

I have the Lee 150 mm filter system for use with my Nikkor 14-24 f2.8 lens, I am pretty sure Lee have said they are not going to make a polarising filter for this system.... So question is, does anybody know of any alternatives that would work with this system? I can't find anything :( Thanks!

I ordered a lens form them a couple of years back that stated 'in stock' on their website. When I had still not received it after a week or so, I had a nightmare getting hold of them only to be told they couldn't tell me when I would get the lens. Can't remember how I went about cancelling...

I tested my D800 (supplied by Amazon in June) a couple of days ago using the method given previously in this thread and do not have the fault. A definite thumbs up from me for the D800 :)

Bought my D3s from them last year. No problems at all and very happy with the camera and the transaction...
