Lenses to achieve blurred backgrounds in wildlife

The big primes will bring you great bokeh but will also give you very sharp details, fast no acrurate AF. If you have the chance to do some comparison shots between your Sigma a big Canon prime it will show you if it is worth the money for you. I made the progression through lenses up to the big...

What are you using as more compact/second camera

I too have done the progression of small/lightweight go everywhere cameras over the years. Have had a few G series Canons (G9, G10, G11, G1x), some Canon S series (S90, S95), a Fuji XF1 (loved that camera probably shouldn't have sold it), a couple of Nikons... Also tried some pocketable...

    Canon G5X

I guess there are not many users out there... I am certainly happy with the camera so far, a good successor to my Sony.

    Canon G5X

As the camera has a hot shoe I thought I would use it, so here are a few more shots with it.

    Canon G5X

After many months of toying with getting a new compact to replace my aging RX100 (which is still a great little machine) I finally picked up a G5x at the weekend. So far I have been pleased with it, it is small enough that I can put it in a jacket pocket or just over my shoulder in a case. The...

The "Canon Powershot G Series" owners thread

Glad to see this thread is still ticking along. I still want to get hold of one but accidentally spent the money I had saved for one on an EOS M3 instead!

    Canon EOS M Series Cameras

thanks for the replies about batteries will see how I go using eco mode and buy a spare if needed... initial impressions of the M3 are good. It is clearly well built and feels great in the hand I also really like the flip out screen. my only real concern is that I might want to replace another M...

    Canon EOS M Series Cameras

I am sure this has been asked before but I cannot see it... What third party batteries are people using with the M3? Mine arrived yesterday and I think that a spare battery or two would be a wise choice.

    Canon EOS M Series Cameras

I can see how the lack of hot shoe is a big issue for many but I would still like to have a play with one and see how the AF performs. As it happens I have just boxed up an old camera to send in to WEX in part exchange against an M3 so hope to get that in about a week. As a fan of the original M...

    Canon EOS M Series Cameras

Spot of retail therapy needed for me so I am think b it is time to get an M3. However I also looked at the M10 and got a bit confused, what does the M10 offer over the original M? Are there are M10 users on here?

    M-PE65 users?

Well it's taken me long enough but I have just ordered one... Have decided to see how I get on with the ring flash and/or using other flashes off camera. If I cannot get on with that I'll start saving for the mt24.
