Beginner Kenko [Canon] Extension Tube C/AF not DG

Another follow up. I’ve found some other examples of the same modal extension rings for sale online. The description for those all say NOT FOR EF-S LENSES.

"being fouled by the instepped element in the tube". Not sure what that is? What I can say though, the depth of the internal extension face where the extension and lens meet is about 2mm shallow for the efs lenes. Oh well, Kenko extension tube set [used] for £20 - perhaps that's to be expected...

Beginner Kenko [Canon] Extension Tube C/AF not DG

Whether the clip on extension tubes is forward or pulled back, Turnig the lens in the front of the extension, at no point does the lens slip in. It's if the extension diameter is too small. I would say there's always a 2mm gap between the two. Correction. The lens does slip in a little, but...

Beginner Kenko [Canon] Extension Tube C/AF not DG

I've been doing the same as you - scanning old negatives and prints which belonged to my father. There's some very interesting stuff here https://www.filmscanner.info/en/ well worth a read.

Beginner Help needed using lens mount adapter, Olympus OM lens to Canon DSLR body.

Thanks for the reply @john.maretts. Solved! I wasn't turning the lens fully home on the adapter. It's a tight fit, rather awkward and a bit scarry the force needed to turn it fully home. Hopefully won't be too long for me to work out how to configure the 200D into OM4 'simulation mode'.

Beginner Help needed using lens mount adapter, Olympus OM lens to Canon DSLR body.

Introductory preamble. I have just got myself a Canon 200D DSLR. The last (apart from a cheap & cheerful digtal camera I got in Lidl's about 12 years ago) camera I had was a Olympus OM4, which I had substantial kit for, mostly stuff for macro photograhy. Haven't keept up with developments in...
