Looks I got that wrong, Fixation do repair them. Found a shop in Stoke that repairs Canon's only 50 minutes from mine but just have to wait till this is all over.
Took Mt Canon 6D off my telescope to put a 70-200 lens on but it wouldn't lock into place. The release button was stuck so I prised it off but now it won't go back on
There is a tiny spring but the button doesn't clip in, just comes back out. Is this a Canon repair job?
Can still use...
Took a chance and made the trip up there today. Terrible for parking close by. Anyway it was brutal. Wind, cold, drizzle, fog. Managed to getting a shot though.
Hi, does anybody know if the overspill is overflowing at Torside? I was planning on going there probably on Wednesday but it's a fair drive for me so wanted to check 1st.
I'm saving up for the non is version of this lens as it will be mainly used for landscape work but I was told at the Photography Show that the IS version is optically better. Is this true? I thought it was the same lens just minus the Image Stabilisation.
Cheers, great advice. Unfortunately the Mrs isn't really much of a walker. If I was on my own it wouldn't be an issue as I'd walk anywhere. Hoping as we're going in the week there won't be as many people about but I'm probably wrong about that!
I'm fully aware that them places have been done...
Thanks for the replies. Can you drive round to the spots mentioned on Derwent water or do you have to walk round? I've thought about going to Buttermere and doing the Lone Tree but I don't think I'm going to have time to do both.
Can't believe you swam in the Lake! I'm too much of a fairy for...
I'm going up to the Lakes for a couple of days in 2 weeks time with the Mrs and we're stopping at Windermere. Is there any good photography locations on Windermere? I'm planning in going to Derwent Water on the 2nd day.
