In the cat image the background looks horrible (as if someone has gone a bit crazy with a liquify brush tool). The second however, with the broken glass it's actually really pleasing to me as compliments the main subject.
I did think it was bit weird for a lens of this class (and price!), but really didn't know enough about the subject to know what else it could be, so thanks! Feel the need to get my 10-22 aps-c lens out now :)

Did the same thing last year and after an hour or so from trying ending up snapping the darn thing in frustration. Shame as was a lovely tripod otherwise but ended up getting a manfrotto with a quick extension mechanism so no chance of that happening again and much lighter.
oooh a female fiend! lol like the sound of that ;) I don't own any of your equipment but your hobby is nothing to be ashamed off! To be honest I doubt anyone would notice any difference between your 17 + 24 anyway, just the 70 being white? But If I had to take one I guess maybe the 24-70...
How about the jessops afd? I had one when I had my A300 and was o.k for the price, they got a pretty good offer at the moment?

:)
Only other thing that would of made a massive difference with very little effort would of been more bracketing options, maybe they could add that to v2.1?
Pleasantly surprised by this news looking forward to the auto iso mainly. I actually thought the eos email in my inbox was initially announcing a 7d2 and felt overcome with envy lol!
Ps and the in camera rating is a big bonus as I can rate as **** for most of the shots i produce straight away...
These people could do with a lesson from the Ebola monkey man! Years ago when qxl was around I almost got stung with a cheap dell laptop and a gold Nokia 8890 luckily went with my gut instinct and saw sense!
Cool just be aware there are 2 of the 19 Af points that won't trigger the 430ex2s assist lamp in single point mode as its the 580 model that covers the higher Af points of the 1d series!
Yep good tip as that has caught me out many a time as I tend to use back button Af and have then farted around in the menus wondering where my grid has one! Lol
Sounds amazing and I'm jealous that my 7d will probably never be able to run ML :( I'd particularly love to have that zoom on review as gets frustrating having to do it manually to check sharpness!
