I had a really weird issue at a wedding yesterday with my mk4 and thank god I spotted it early. I shoot RAW, never change the setting and after about half an hour of starting I noticed the camera said I had over 2000 shots available. Odd, so I went through the menus and found the camera was...
Working for a bookies for many years and with our PR and marketing teams most of that time, they definitely wouldn't have missed this opportunity to get the company name in the papers for virtually nothing. WH would have spotted this a mile off.
@T_J_G @Phil V All sorted, 2 new TT658 flashes, 1 trigger and 2 receivers on their way all for about £50 less then what my Canon 580 cost 6 or so years ago. Cheers again. AD600 can wait for the moment.
That's great, thanks both. I'd factored in the receivers for the Canons so that's not a problem. I don't mind having a few spares anyway so I'll keep the Canon flashes anyway even if I do go fully with the Godox kit.
I currently own a couple of flashes - a Canon 580EXII and a 430EX. I use them almost exclusively in manual off camera but I wanted to move over to Godox but still use the current kit until it dies. Would the X1C trigger the Canons as well? I'm guessing yes but without TTL but I don't really need...
@tijuana taxi No worries, I went but didn't hang around that long. I've not been to this one before but after the one at the NEC it all just felt a bit cramped and small. When I did want to speak to someone about lighting I was hanging around for ages so gave up in the end and came back with...
I was planning to have a look round this afternoon. If want to have a moan about everything that's wrong with Orient at the moment instead I reckon I'll be there about midday.
Don't know if you use it but as part of my MS Office subscription I get a load of storage on OneDrive. I usually use that when I have large zip files of photos. Otherwise you could split them up into smaller files and send for free on WeTransfer. I think 2GB is their max file size for free.
Any word on the speeds of the dual CF/SD card slots? The SD in the mk3 is so slow that burst mode is virtually useless.
Not so fussed about the price tag, they don't usually stay at that price for long but I can't justify the upgrade at the launch price.
If it's for home office stuff mainly using Microsoft software you'll probably be best off with a PC. The Office subscription on a Mac doesn't include One Note, Publisher or Access if they're important to you.
Could always try a hackintosh if you're looking for something that gives you both...
I love listening to audio books, sometimes when I'm listening to a really good one I end up sitting in the car outside the house until the end of a chapter. I drive about 10 hours a week and subscribe to one book a month with Audible, although I think you can get more. The rest of the month I...
I have the Manfrotto Off Road Hiker 20L and it's great for more outdoors type stuff. Camera section can easily hold a 5D with 24-70 easily and the non camera section is huge. I found the 30L was too big for a day bag and I prefer my Lowepro (I can't remember the version) for going into town as...
