I've not had Hawke before, but I have the Nikon Prostaff P7 8x30 for hiking and getting after wild deer and goats typically. For me, they are the sweet spot in all areas. I'd definitely buy them again.

I'd say take a 50mm equivalent. as can always shoot vertically and stitch if you want wider shots. Or just landscape orientation with it.

Well happy days, the K&F tripod head is broke, thankfully within 12 months of purchase so that's going back for a full refund....need to find a new, different geared head....grrr

How bizarre I'm after the same after finding out LR can't handle my size panos with a larger sensor. Tried Hugin and it's not as easy as LR, but maybe it mean's there more control for user. I'm struggling to work out how to not have it crop.

I suspect a couple of nails or screw in two of the holes in part 3 and it'll screw out so you can have a better look at it s workings. Be able to use a screwdriver as a bar to leverage the screw s to unscrew

It's arrived, brand spanking new and as far as I can see is legit. Just have to test it out see how I like it.

Am not sure on your meaning there. My OM1 and 300mm F4 weighs a lot less than the D610 and the 150-600 sigma. I've not felt the need for a power bank.

I big part of it for me to swtich from D610m to mirrorless was the weight saving. Hiking around mountains and hunting wildlife (with camera, spot and stalk) having the extra weight of the DSLR and the bigger lens makes a big different over time and distance.
