Have you considered presenting the other way up? The dark feature along the as presented top edge and the two adjacent corners could make a 'heavy' base for the picture to sit on. Still a good image either way up.

My initial impression was perhaps a little on the heavy side, but it’s so strong you come back for another look. On reflection it exactly matches my recollection of many walks in that area so the author should be commended for accurately capturing both the image and ‘feel’ of this area.

Woody - I do bit of infrared stuff and there is a very similar issue with focus. You might want try the standard IR work round of putting the camera on the tripod, focusing, flicking to manual focus, effectively locking the current focus setting and preventing the camera 'looking' for focus when...
