Any Photo Album software for family pictures?

I find Flickr serves this purpose well. You can split your photos into albums too. I do it for my family photos and as a cloud backup. I bought the pro version, specifically for this.

    Fuji XF 10-24 f4 R OIS

I think it's great. Sharp across the frame. If you are picky, you might see some minor reduction in quality at the edge, but that's only when doing some serious pixel peeping. These were shot with the Fuji XT3.

    A big film scanner thread

No - I just wanted to show my general setup. Old fashioned SD card I'm afraid. That would be neat though, will consider paying for the required Fuji plug-in.

    A big film scanner thread

Well it works just fine. Negs are nice and flat. No effort just to lift the glass to move them along, and there is no limit on number of negs I can push through unlike the digitiser. Same amount of effort cleaning the negs beforehand. Wish I had thought of this before. Hopefully this will...

    A big film scanner thread

Thinking more on the problem, a solution came to me which makes me feel rather foolish for not having thought of this before. Try using my negative carrier from my enlarger. While the negatives will be flat, it may slow down the workflow prohibitively. Will try it out.

    A big film scanner thread

Lomography Digitaliser I have convinced myself to scan my negatives using my Fuji XT3, 18-55mm kit lens and extension tubes. Having studied up on how to process the RAW files in Photoshop, I am much happier with the results than from my Epson V550, Epsonscan software and a bit of Lightroom...

    Upgrade advice

Don't forget Fuji. Meets all your requirements, and possibly have the best film simulations in the business. You should be able to get a used XT2 or XT30 for your price range. The "kit" 18-55mm is superb. eg this pristine XT30

What's your favourite vintage 50mm lens of all time?

Carl Zeiss Planar 50mm f1.4 T*. Sold it as I stopped using SLRs. Miss it.

Cokin P Filters in a Hitech 85 Holder

Does anyone know if Cokin P filters will safely fit into a Hitech 85 filter holder? I understand that Cokin P filters are actually 84mm, and am worried about them falling out. The aim is to use coloured filters for B&W film photography, and Hitech don't seem to supply them any more. Thanks...

    How Many?

I counted 9 in his video, so not too bad. I have 3 digital and 6 film (though I don't use 4 of those). I have a rationale for using each, so feel reasonably OK with the excess. FWIW: Digital Fuji GFX50S - serious landscape not involving a hike. Studio portraits. Fuji XT3 - landscapes on...

    Computer components in short supply?

Try buying a decent graphics card. I've been waiting for 4 months!

Best small and image quality travel camera

As above. A used X100F can be had for about £700. X100Vs are c£1300 new, so a bit above your budget. No zoom, but learning to live a 35mm focal length equivalent is really liberating. The quality of images continue to amaze me (after 6 years with the X100 series). Perfect travel camera.

How to eliminate specular highlights in portraits

Folks. Thanks for all your input. I know I have a lot to learn. I've taken some of your guidance and mixed it with my needs/wants/budget and come up with a solution I suspect some of you won't like! Still FWIW this is what I did... I bought a bigger softbox. A 16 sided Selens 105cm job...

How to eliminate specular highlights in portraits

I hear you. On occasion when I do a portrait for a friend, we use make up. More often than not, it is a semi impromptu nice portrait of family, and there is no appetite for make up.
