    Smoke machines

Thanks, just found out it's called the Micro Fogger 2 but it's too expensive for casual use!

    Smoke machines

I'm getting into product photography and I need to add smoke/mist for some shots. I have a smoke machine for studio shots and I've tried using it but it's overkill for product shots. There is such a thing as a small smoke machine which I've seen in Youtube tutorials but no details of brand etc...

    How would I light this?

Jesus. Sorry I ruined your day. I hope one day you can see fit to forgive me and I can put this behind me and live the rest of my life in peace. I can see that me asking a question about photography on a photography advice board was completely uncalled for and I will modify my behaviour going...

    How would I light this?

So rear-curtain sync for the speedlights?

    How would I light this?

I want to do a Halloween studio shoot using illuminated LED masks like the ones in the pic. How would I light this? A strobe would wash out the weak light from the mask. Use speedlights instead? use edge lighting? Beef up the glow in post production?

    Videography courses

Thanks. There was a course run by Futureworks in Manchester but they just didn't bother replying to my messages so I gave up.

    Videography courses

I want to start learning videography with a view to offering wedding videos to supplement the stills photography package my friend's company offers. Can anyone recommend a good course (online or real-world) or book on shooting video and then editing? What software for editing, colour grading...

    North England Bamburgh/ Dunstanburgh Advice

There's a big car park for Bamburgh castle just below the castle on Links Road. For Dunstanburgh you could park in the village of Craster and check it out (car park just outside the village), it has anice little harbour. Then walk along the coast a mile to the castle. If you have time there is...

    Advanced compositing training

I want to be able to create composite "hero" shots like the one shown, incorporating different background elements and atmospheric effects such as flames, sparks, dust, snow, smoke. It is to create inspiring images of the kids at a school for children with autism and physical impairments at...

Best superzoom lens for full frame cameras

Good suggestions, thanks. I don't fancy investing in a new system such as the Fuji at this stage, so looks like it's: a) suck it up and carry my big lenses around, what else do I go to the gym for? Also I'm hoping to hire a model and shoot on the Hong Kong waterfront. b) Tamron 28-300 c) take...

Best superzoom lens for full frame cameras

I'm off to the far east in a couple of weeks and naturally I'm taking my camera with me. However it's full frame and the L class lenses I need for a good coverage (Canon 24-70 f/2.8 L and 70-200 f/2.8 L) weigh a ton. What is a decent superzoom lens which will cover that sort of range without too...

    What compact mirrorless camera?

I'm going to Barcelona for a few days soon to see and photograph the amazing buildings there. I have been told more than once not to walk around with a big DSLR or I will be targeted by pickpockets, muggers and beggars. So I want to get a small good-quality changeable lens camera with a...
