    Mishaps on location.

Got cut off at Porthcurno, climbed the cliff, half way up, ohhhhh that would make a nice shot! Wriggle onto a ledge about as wide as a kerb stone, compose shot, slip, end up hanging by one hand with my back to the cliff and the other holding the camera. ***Dilemma*** Hung for about 30 seconds...

Critique Last river Thames sunset of 2013 season mixup

I like it and wouldn't have known that you'd necessarily used 2 separate images until i read it. Just one thing that i would be tempted to do would be to clone out the two small orange sections in the dark band just right of centre.

Porthleven, Cornwall during the recent storms.

I assure you that all horizons are straight, i went through exactly the same thing myself, thinking "what is going on here?" It seems that it is a mixture of the headlands and waves that is doing this. With regards to the pano, i know what you mean about the roof but the higher road has other...

Porthleven, Cornwall during the recent storms.

It's been a bit rough down my way recently with Porthleven being battered by some of the biggest waves for a century. South Coast Flood Warning by SAR1N, on Flickr The Calm After by SAR1N, on Flickr Wet Feet? by SAR1N, on Flickr The Next Phase by SAR1N, on Flickr Storms Panoramic by...

    Porthleven, Cornwall

I agree Geoff but unfortunately i only took a 35mm prime with me, i was kicking myself after. Thanks for the feedback.

A few from recent outings in the village where i grew up: The following is the same photo taken 6 minutes later but this time a 2 minute exposure:

    Odd text problem in photoshop

FYI the "P" in Rat Pack is missing also.

    Back ground fix

Not the easiest due to the background not being evenly lit. If you wanted to keep all four girls in then i would suggest cropping a lot closer then you only have to deal with the top half of the left hand side using the clone tool. You could only include girls 2, 3 &4, thus getting rid of the...

    Scotland Long exposure

Seems purple to me as well, colour cast from the filter, have a play with the white balance.

    Green Screen Edit Help

As above, it needs to be crease free, taught and pull your subject a bit further forward to avoid problem shadows on the bg. The background needs to be evenly lit to enable any software not to have a hissy fit and the last thing - i've found that paper is better than fabric for chromakey stuff.

    First Infrared

It's not working for me i'm afraid, it's all very white and uninteresting, sorry.

    Unexpected(EDIT ADDED)

Very nice, the re-edited version is a lot better. I might be tempted to crop so that the two pillars at the front are gone?

How long do you spend in post processing?

I suppose it depends on how far away the original image is to what you want it to be. Some shots will take me a few minutes, others i can spend hours on, for example if the model wants retouching. Other times that i have spent hours on a photo is when taking long exposure panoramas - the sea...

    Why timelapse photography?

Ok so all of the above makes sense and answers a lot of the questions that i originally asked. Here's the video that aroused my curiosity in the first place. For the people in the know, how long was the gap between each shot do you reckon? http://vimeo.com/62980495
