Canon 5D MK I 'classic' - owners thread

Thanks John, that does help. Not sure what you mean by 'in sex' though. I'll drop my price to around £375 I think as cosmetically it has a lot of signs of use, although it works perfectly.

Canon 5D MK I 'classic' - owners thread

What is the going price for a second hand 5D Mk 1 body these days? I've listed mine at £450 but now I'm wondering if that's a bit high. Any thoughts?

    Any TPers doing Timelapse?

I'm looking at getting into this. I've just purchased a Konova K2 Slider, the 80cm one, which I plan to use for a few video projects I have planned. They also sell two types of motor for motion control, the basic one (which doesn't have an intervalometer built in, meaning longer exposure time...

Canon 5D Mark I - No serial number

I just thought I'd update this, I found the serial number within the EXIF data, sent it off for repair and Canon fixed it and cleaned it for free :)

Canon 5D Mark I - No serial number

I've just tried EOSInfo and it says the serial number is '0'. Do I own the original 5D or something :p How can I get it from the EXIF of an image?

Canon 5D Mark I - No serial number

I've just realised that I should probably just check the EXIF for the serial number. I'll do this and register for CPS so I can get it repaired :) I imagine Canon will tell me if it's stolen when I send it for repair. That would be interesting, ha!

Canon 5D Mark I - No serial number

I bought it second hand from auction a few years ago. Good point about the base plate thing, I imagine I will need to call Canon.

Canon 5D Mark I - No serial number

Hi all, My Canon 5D broke at the last wedding I did; the mirror came loose and has now smashed into pieces so I need to send it off for repair. I am eligible for Canon CPS, but I haven't yet registered everything. In doing so I've discovered that my Canon 5D has no serial number...

Unfortunately not, and you've just reminded me I've packaged the box up without making a new copy :bonk: I'll do another copy before posting to Ken.

Hi all, I realised when I went to package and post the DVDs yesterday that I didn't have Ken's surname. I PMd him yesterday but haven't yet had a response. I'll post the DVDs as soon as I have his full name.
