Nae luck - could use some advice

I think it's the 35 GL/GX that takes the same batteries as the Hi-matic, most of the other Electro 35s require a much larger battery in a different adapter. Might be worth double checking to save you more battery related woes.

    Subminiature Adventure

Looks like a lot of fun! Any idea what film stocks you're going to try in it? I've seen some very impressive results with CMS 20 but you'd have to limit your spying to direct sunlight...

OFFICIAL I HAVE A NEW (FILM RELATED) TOY THREAD!!

Just picked this up. My justification to myself and my wallet is that it's far more compact than the RB67 for landscapes that involve a lot of walking, but really I just like the concept of a modern(ish) folder. I'm giving it a full clean and a service as they're notoriously cantankerous, but I...

    Bargains Thread

I was sure it was one of this type like most of my others but having looked, it's an older Paterson system 4 like this: Does the Mod54 fit into one of these? Maybe I could find a lid too, I have quite a few incomplete tanks. Edit: Looking at the two of them I'm guessing not, the reels are the...

    Bargains Thread

First time on here in a while and by some coincidence I may well have one of these, Carl. I managed to crack the funnel shaped part on one of mine and bought another. If I can lay my hands on it, and it's the right one, you're welcome to it for the cost of postage.

    Digigood-Good or bad???

Got my refurb E-P1 from there, very happy with their service, paid late afternoon and they delivered next day!

    Micro 4/3rds Owners Thread

Yep I can confirm that metering works fine on the ep1 with legacy lenses, obviously you have to set the aperture on the lens but the camera calculates the correct shutter speed. I've got a m42 mount mamiya lens on mine at the moment.

    Micro 4/3rds Owners Thread

I'd be interested to know how the t20 performs on auto with the ep1 John. My local second hand shop have one in at the moment and I've been thinking of picking it up to use on my OM body, but if it works well on the pen too and saves me shelling out the £100+ for the FL-14 then I'll definitely...

    "Panasonic G series" Owners Thread

Anyone mind if I join in with an ep1? This seems to be about the only m4/3 thread around here. I've been following these EVIL cameras with interest for a while now, and this week I got the chance to buy a mint refurbished ep1 and kit lens for a shade over £200 (a bargain considering I'd been...

    Centering a web page

I don't think the extra <div> is really needed (though I don't know for sure as it's been an age since I did any HTML/CSS), you can just add body {margin:auto 0; width:900px;} into the CSS.

Help with Night Long Exposures Please

Yeah there should be a scale in the bottom of the viewfinder (looks a little like this <------l------>) each step on the scale indicates 1/3rd of a stop so three steps to the right of the middle would be 1 stop overexposure and 6 steps to the left would be 2 stops underexposure and you can then...

Help with Night Long Exposures Please

Shutter speed works on a halving/doubling scale, twice the time will increase the exposure by one stop, halving the time will reduce the exposure by one stop. Therefore if a 30 second exposure is showing on the camera meter as 1 stop underexposed, you need to use 60 seconds in bulb mode.

    A Day in TalkPhotography™ Time. ENTRIES. FINAL DEADLINE - 1800hrs GMT 29/9/10!

Thanks for the comments guys, I was pretty pleased with how it turned out :) The photo is a single long exposure (about 30 seconds I think, I had to crank up the ISO to 800 to get this) which allowed the stars to show up but was short enough to avoid a partial star trail (there is a little...

    lightenupandshoot.net

I've been following their blog for a while now but I hadn't seen this v-book, like you say, they seem very down to earth when talking about photography. I'll probably check it out, worth a go at that price .
