    Coolpix P7100 dust in lens

Hi guys. Have a coolpix P7100 that basically goes everywhere with me, which I brought brand new last June. Noticed today that there are a couple of bits of dust on the inside of the lens, one which is more than just a tiny spec, although looks to be too close to the edge of the lens to...

Keep D90 or upgrade to D7000

Thanks Stuart, like the sound of the 24-70/2.8, can't really sell the 18-200 as the over half got it for me so that's a keeper but it's a usable bit of kit so no worries. Would be interesting to have a glance through a 12-24 so will have to pop into my wallet wrenching local independent...

    Good walk about prime

OK then, the 35 is now at one with the D90, wallet tightly shut, I'll have a play with that for a while, mmmmm I'll keep it quiet that I have not got a new lens, or you just know who will want a new hand bloody bag or something! Lol

    Good walk about prime

Thinking of adding to my lens array, wondering what length of prime lens would be a good for general use. Please enlighten me!

Keep D90 or upgrade to D7000

Think best route (although new body is v tempting), is to get more glass, it would be a better investment I believe, so will start looking at some primes I think. Current lenses are :- nikon DX 35mm 1.8, nikon DX 18-200 vr1 3.5-5.6, nikon 28-70 3.5-4.5 D, sigma DC 17-70 2.8-4.5 macro.

Yes good point. That's another one that is on my mind the D300s, another as is the D90, iconic camera!

Keep D90 or upgrade to D7000

Hi Gremlin. Mainly shoot pets/scenery /landscape. Think the D7000 sounds like it may be faster in some situations. But perhaps I need to improve my skills using the D90. Could be better to spend money on a new lens. Seem to miss the best shot to often! Love photography but feel that I am just no...

Keep D90 or upgrade to D7000

Yep, well that's me told StewartR! Think we are all entitled to explore the Avenues of new equipment from time to time. But yes you are probably right, the D90 does really do all I need, should maybe get another lens. we all have an itch that needs to be scratched from time to time........ And I...

Keep D90 or upgrade to D7000

Hi all. Had my D90 for a few years now and for some unknown reason have a yearning for a D7000! (probably the fault of the for sale section on this site!) Well what are your thoughts? Is it a worthwhile upgrade....... or is it just a silly phase I'm going through, as 10cc put it (I'm...

    3 kingfishers

Think they look great Kevin, possibly in the first image, the focus on the twig/branch in forground on right hand side draws the eye, perhaps a tighter crop? But no expert Kev! What lens were these taken with? Jon

    Nikon D90 v D3000

Well I started with a D3000 and soon after realised that I should have brought a higher spec camera, D3000 was ok but access to many settings was via several screens whereas on the D90 that I replaced it with so many more are immediately at hand. As soon as I got the d90 it felt like a much more...

    Nikon p7100 or advanced compact

OMG! had just about made my mind up on the sony hx9v as it gets really good reviews the g12 and p7100 are very very tempting as they are a "proper camera"(you know what I mean) but a bit bulky and less zoom raises question marks. Gonna look at the canon you have both mentioned now.....just to...

    Nikon p7100 or advanced compact

Thanks Pete/Phil, Think the canon G12 or nikon P7100 would be fantastic cameras but may be a bit bulky (and may mean the D90 went into retirement!), the zoom range and portability of the advanced compacts is appealing, sony hx9v and canon sx260hs looking good at the moment, have...
