A friend of mine is looking for a student kit for his daughter for college. He was going to spend about £300, I'm a bit out of touch with cameras currently available. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

I've a fair bit of darkroom stuff to get rid of to make some space, I'm looking to move house so can't be bothered with the hassle of ebaying it etc. Any good suggestions as to what to do with it? Are there any charitable institutions that would use it? Any thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

I use a 605 with a colour head, it's a nice enough piece of kit. It just works.

A large part of the engine calibration and cat etc is driven by emissions, I'm not sure deliberately adding to known bad pollutants is really such a palatable idea.

I guess they do what hey do and do it very well, all depends what you want from a car I suppose.

That's true about reviews, every car will have someone piping up about them breaking. The Qashqai is alright, just a bit bland... like a toaster or other home appliance. It'll do it's job well but never inspire you.

No worries :) I'd say it was the most useful, I think I did take a longer lens with me but didn't use it.
