Review Crumpler Pretty Boy XL Camera Bag first impressions

After a lot of suggestions yesterday I ended up with a Crumpler bag for my 300D + 28-135mm + 50mm lenses. It looks like this - The quality of the fabric is as good as any lowepro bag I've had. The stitching seems to be pretty good. Well put together. There is a big flap that covers...

Camera bag suggestions for 300D + 2 lens

Well, I went to the camera shops yesterday arvo, looked around and ended up ordering a crumpler bag. I am a sucker for the fancy looks ;) The bags do look functional and capable though. I'll post when it arrives and I've tried it out.

N00b needs a bit of help

I use a canon (there you go chuckles) and never had trouble with it. A mate of mine shoots with a nikon and never had trouble with that. So ... neither would be wrong, nor would the pentax ;) Go into Jessops, pick them all up, read some reviews. To figure out the zoom, it is 55 / 18 = 3...

Camera bag suggestions for 300D + 2 lens

So many choices ... ;) I've left it a bit late. I go away next week and need a new bag. Not a lot of time to shop around. The Rezo's look good too, similar to the crumpler pretty boy. The 180 looks a lot bigger than the 160.

Camera bag suggestions for 300D + 2 lens

Yeah, thats a nice looking bag. The sling bags also look pretty nice, so I might have to revise my 'no backpack' stance ;) I'm trying to shortlist so I can go into a store with an idea and try some out.

Camera bag suggestions for 300D + 2 lens

I've got a lowepro topload zoom 1 (http://www.lowepro.com/Products/Toploading/classic/Topload_Zoom_1.aspx). The zoom just fits, without the hood. I don't think the zoom 2 would work either, with the hood attached. It's pretty wide. I should have said, I'm not keen on the backpacks ;)

Camera bag suggestions for 300D + 2 lens

Morning all. I got 28-135 IS USM & 50mm f1.8 canon lenses for my 300D over the weekend (birthday pressies, from me to me ;) ). The trouble is, my lowepro bag is no longer suitable, so I need something else to carry them in. I'm trying to decide whether to get something to carry them...

Advice on strange exposure problem causing banding on bright photos

I've been into camera stores before but not had a great deal of help. I'm torn at the moment because I have friends coming over from the states in 2 weeks and they've offered to get me a new lens. I had another thought as well. If it was the shutter or CCD I would expect it to affect all...

Advice on strange exposure problem causing banding on bright photos

;) It does seem to have baffled everyone I've shown it too. In a way I'm quite proud to have such a unique problem :cuckoo:

Advice on strange exposure problem causing banding on bright photos

The curves were what made me think it's the lens. I would have thought if it were the shutter blade 'stuttering' I wouldn't see dark areas of similar exposure, with brighter areas in between. I'd expect a gradient across the image as one side was exposed for longer than the other. I did have...

    Evening all

Certainly seems a lot more friendly than other sites I've come across. My camera needs a hug ;)

Advice on strange exposure problem causing banding on bright photos

Hi, I've got a Canon 300D with the stock 18-55mm lens. It's just over 2 years old now and has done me great service while travelling Oz & NZ last year. Towards the end of the trip I started to notice exposure problems in bright outdoor photos, particularly when there were no clouds and the...

    Evening all

Hi, I'm matt. I signed up specifically because I have a camera no one seems to be able to diagnose, but also because I've been looking for a site to help me move on up from amateur snapper to, well, better amateur snapper ;) I currently own a Canon 300D with stock lens only.
