I don't get it. I have a fixed 500mm lens, that will show the Moon only as a small disc. No amount of enlarging will bring out any detail. You must be taking this at prime-focus, through a telescope? Great shot of course but I am just stumped. My so-called zooms are nothing of the sort, so...

Some of them do look a bit dark I agree. Of course, snow only looks pure white to the eye (sometimes) the camera lens usually picks up tints due to ambient light from surrounding sources. One of my favourite parts of Scotland, but one I don't like to stay in for very long. I find the place...
